Don't hate on Siberia. At least they're unique. Bahaha.

Right now I am... but when I was at VCU (the university I went to), definitely not. Fashion everywhere! I miss RVA!

a northwest chicago suburb. there's hardly ANY inspiration around here...i always feel overdressed and overstyled and with more flair than everyone else. i "dress up" (aka i don't wear a huge t-shirt and some boys basketball shorts and grimy flip flops) to go grocery shopping or run errands. same with school. i mean, yeah there's SOME inspiration but i can't find it on some of the people around here!! mostly in magazines and movies.

I live in Maine-- and don't be me wrong, I LOVE Maine-- but I wish people would step it up, fashion-wise.

oh yes yes yes!! somehow everyone would either be wearing similar-styled clothing (and not whether their body shape would suit that particular style etc)..or that people could not be bothered to even dress up for occasions... *boring place i stay in*.. give me tokyo, nyc anytime.. :P

I live in Northern Minnesota. The girls up here with a sense of style as well as the need for warmth all gather together and thank God for online shopping. ---------- Not really, but you get the drift. Even though up here we are about 2.5 hours away from the Mall of America, it's still rough to find anything original anywhere. We do have a mall in Duluth (look it up!) but everything there is not fashion. I used to work at a corporate office for a store in the mall here, and they would always decide to send more units of the "high fashion" items to the higher population stores depending on location. So we got the shaft here pretty much.

NYC is very trendy so it' hard to miss out on what's in and of course, there's a bit of everything here.

I go to school in Texas and everyone wears what the girls in hollywood wear-skinny jeans flats, patterned tops. Guys and girls will wear t-shirts and shorts or athletic wear to classes. So Blah. I live in fashion Siberia

I'm definitely in Siberia! Everyone dresses the same here. Very granola/hippie and it's making me crazy! I just want to shout out that it's ok to shave your legs and wear pretty, feminine things.

Until last month I lived in Austin, and the girls there mostly dress terribly- shorts and tank tops, jeans and t-shirts, and my personal pet peeve, flip flops. There's a lot of good things there, too. I had to move t Houston for a job, and though the style still is lacking, at least people know how to dress up (which they never do in Austin).

I'm with vinnie. I live in LA..but there are some things that should not be included as part of fashion!

The actual city I live in has three or four boutiques that have great fashionable things all the time. And I live less than two hours from San Francisco, so any time I need a really good dose of fashion, I just hop in the car and I'm in heaven before I know it!

hmm...well personally I find inspiration from a lot of things...not jsut people around me. I like to look at runway collections and see how I can put together something with my own wardrobe...I look at celebrities for things like accessories and bags...I like streetwear books and websites like lastnightsparty.com for awesome and COLORFUL inspriation (when I'm feeling colorful)...and I look to fellow fabsugar members! (esp for work clothes inspriation!).. Now on the street I can SOMETIMES find some with a cute outfit...but mainly where I live everyone looks the same =/ esp the teenagers I see these days....

And I agree with jennaboa in saying that Austin does not have seasons really. So the thing I miss most about NY is being able to wear my fabulous Mackage coats! Fortunately, I get a couple weeks at Christmas to be back in the snow ;)

I live in Austin as well, but I'm originally from central New York State and let me tell you, the fashion there is cringe-worthy. My hometown city is about 14 years late in picking up trends. It's pathetic. No wonder I got out of there! Austin is a great city fashion-wise because anything goes. You could wear either shorts and a t-shirt or a cocktail dress to the same bar on the same night and nobody would bat an eyelash. It's whatever you feel like wearing. I love that about Austin. Hook 'Em Horns!

I live in LA, so it all depends on your idea of fashion inspiration. Ed Hardy does not inspire me in the least.
