My parents sucked and from the time I was 11 and on, I had a 30+ hour a week babysitting job to ensure I had money for school supplies and clothes. I do miss the excuse to go out and get a complete wardrobe but now it's nice because I have way more money to spend and I can spend throughout the year. I've learned quality versus quantity.

Not at all. My mom never bought me everything I wanted when I was a teen. I'm older now and can buy everything and more that I want.

This is my last year of college, and I'm going to enjoy the shopping perks as much as possible.

I do miss it! Every year, in stores, I love to see all the new planners, notebooks, pencils and most of all: crayons!! And I want all of it. :)

getting to go back to school shopping is what makes me excited for school. but after i wear all of my new clothes the novelty and excitement wears off and fast.

Still in school, but after wearing a uniform for three years, I'm enjoying school shopping sooo much! :D

I don't need to wear my school uniform anymore, which makes it a lot easier now considering I don't need to buy school shoes and trousers (which were the hardest to find!) :P

I so miss my parents footing the bill too!! Oh and it was always a great excuse to buy new I have to convince my husband everyone I know has seen me in that sweater from last year so I have to have a new one....doesn't sound as convincing as saying "new school year new clothes!"

I kinda just enjoy my mom footing the bill. Now, I have to work to get my clothes!

I just graduated from college so this is my first year not trying to assemble a whole wardrobe for my return. While I'm sad I no longer have the excuse, I always have shopped for seasons so I'm not really missing much, just a job to pay for it all.

I do miss the shopping. However, I def do not miss the anxiety that comes along with a new school year.

Yes! I remember doing a huge back to school shopping trip each year when I was younger. Now, I still buy different clothes for different seasons (of course), but it's different because I don't do any huge trips. Like Ziva, I also miss buying all of the school supplies.

I'm kind of like #3. I like to shop with the different seasons. For example, in summer I buy a lot of cute halter tops. In Winter, I like to buy t-shirts and hoodies. I don't usually buy all at one time though due to not having the money. I try to buy a new outfit every month though if I have the money.

I loved put my new shoes and my new backpack by my bedroom door the night before. They were so excited to be used for the first time :) haha

still in high school, unfortunately, but back-to-school shopping is by far the best thing about starting school again!

Yes! I remember my mom would take my sister and me to the mall, give us a set amount of money, and we would bargain shop like pros! It was almost a contest, who could get the most would win. :) Those were fun times...
