It's better to be able to see how it looks on.

I'm with GeekSugar!! I buy almost everything online! The main motivator for me is coupon codes (like the ones listed in Lucky and InStyle Mag). Revolve Clothing is one of my fav online clothing boutiques because they always have some sort of promo code in circulation and they offer free 2-3 day shipping both directions. I know fit can be tricky when buying clothes online, but if you find places with good customer service and return policies, it's TOTALLY worth it. I just saved $40 on a pair of full price William Rast jeans. If anyone is looking for a new pair of jeans and know what size/style they are, PM me and I'll help you with a coupon code. :)

I love both. But what I had paying all those extra charges when you shop online. Especially because it's not in store and you can't it anywhere in driving distance so your forced to pay extra fees.

I like to try things on first, but I like to get my shoes online because there's a bigger selection. I wear wide so it's tough.

Usually in the store but a few things online. I have to see if things fit.

I hate shopping in stores. Its crowded, you have to go on your time off, and the internet has spoiled me when it comes to in-store selections. When you buy from a store you are limited to what they offer, current trends and whatever cracky season they are on (which may or may not be relevant to the weather outside). Just by sheer volume, when you shop on the internet you can get exactly what you want. I admit, when you shop online, outside of ebay, you generally have a brand preference, so that you know quality and how things fit. Now if it is ebay (which I love) you can ask for close up shots and MEASUREMENTS. Ask for measurements and then compare those to you favorite pair of jeans, dresses, blazers, etc. for the perfect fit. It even works for shoes, you can ask for the length of a shoe and the width at the widest point. This year I'v only bought one thing in a store and that was from Forever 21, which I would never buy online, outside of basics, because of their crazy fit and often sketchy craftsmanship.

I definitely need to go to a store, because I'm in between different categories of sizes and it's hard to tell which ones will fit me.

Both. I prefer to browse online and then go in-store to try on and buy.

I only buy in store because I have to try stuff on and it's so much more fun.

It depends on what I'm buying-- clothes, bras, and shoes I usually buy in person -- I love to physically try on shoes, buy them -- nothing beats a good shoe purchase. However sometimes you are familiar with the product enough that you can buy online. Makeup I can buy online because I know what I like -- I know what’s going to work and what doesnt -- in store I do experiment more though.

I love shopping in general, but I split my time pretty evenly between shopping online and in brick-and-mortar stores. I like being able to shop online and get cash back through sites like, but as other people have said, when you buy clothes online, you run the risk of them not fitting correctly and then having to deal with the hassle of returning things. I also don't like paying for shipping either; just last night, I was considering making a purchase on but was deterred due to the $14.50 shipping charge. That said, I tend to buy accessories like handbags and jewelry online and clothes where I'm very familiar with the sizing (like GAP), but I still prefer brick-and-mortar stores so I can evaluate the materials and check the fit.

Instores for most things, however for some hard to get things locally, I will shop online... and I try my best to ask around what the sizes are like if I can't get exact measurements... and then I usually get a little stressed about whether its going to fit when it arrives... especially shoes!!

You know I love online shopping! But I'm a total addict, and I love shopping at brick-and-mortar stores too. Or, even better, shop at brick-and-mortars, and then find it cheaper online!

when it comes to stores i go instore but most of the time after i've checked it out online, i just want to see how it fits and if it suits me. then i'll either buy instore or if i know that online is cheaper i'll buy then. when it comes to tech stuff i'm happy to go online

I love shopping online. I'm pretty sure I'm addicted. There are always tons of promo codes and deals to be had. Of course, I do enjoy shopping in-store as well, particularly at department stores.

Prefer in store especially for shoes. I have had three not so happy experiences with buying really pretty shoes online and they either don't fit right or the sizing is off so by the end of the evening the shoes are falling off my feet. Arg!!! I have a really cute pair of Kate Spade leapard print rain shoes and they didn't come in 1/2 sizes so they suggested to buy up. WRONG!!! I've tried everything in the shoe and still can't wear them. If anyone out there wears a size 9 shoe I would be happy to send them to you because they don't fit my 8-1/2 foot.

I shop in store usually, but I'll buy shoes and acessories online. I like Target's GO line because i can just take it back to the store.

I'm a big online shopper but for shoes, some shirts, and accessories and house wares. I hate to risk it with jeans and any bottoms though....

I could never buy something without trying it on. The couple of times I have tried online shopping it has turned out to be a disaster.

I usually only buy online from a store that has an in-store return option. i HATE shipping stuff back.

It depends on what it is. Some things just need to be tried on.

I love online shopping. The deals are great, but it's true--sometimes the stuff doesn't fit. I don't mind shopping in stores, but I usually only go to return or exchange stuff I bought online.

I usually research what I want from a store's website and then I go to the store to actually buy it. This is partially so that I can see the fit and material of what I'm buying and partially b/c I don't want to pay shipping fees :)
