I have a few pairs of leather shoes and a leather jacket. I'm not a vegan and I'm not going to pretend to be one, but I don't wear fur. Reminds me of my cat, and that's a little too creepy for comfort.

And that, my friends, was the second time I saw nipple on a Sugar site today. Nipple Fridays!

Leather only! And maybe faux fur, since like some of you said, leather is by-product of beef. We're just making the most of it. I don't approve of killing animals solely for their skin though...

I only wear what I would eat ;)

I don't have a ton of leather, mostly in my shoes, but I do have one wonderfully soft, useful (and now a bit worn) leather trenchcoat. I would justify that one coat, which I have now owned for 18 years, and good quality shoes that are worth repairing and resole-ing, far before justifying 100 pieces of plastic/PVC/mass produced items. I have some leather bags too, but they are all of high quality, and some (my old black Prada bag) are bordering on vintage. Morality has a lot of facets. Consumption of goods is not just about the type, but the quantity. If you must buy "animal" then buy, but buy well, and buy only once, if possible. This is my belief anyway :)

Ah, and pure sheep wool. Though of course, the animal doesn't need to be killed for that one, making that less of a crime IMO.

I'm guilty on three counts of leather shoes and one count of a leather jacket. Beyond that - none. Leather is redeemable because of its obvious practical qualities, none of which go for fur or feathers.

I wear leather. Hard to avoid.

I'm a vegetarian so I don't for obvious ethical reasons. But honestly, even if I didn't care about humaneness fur is tacky. People that wear fur always look trashy not chic.

I said other b/c I dont where any of that, but I don't have a moral stance on it.

I LOVE leather. It's just so effortlessly cool to me. I wear it a lot, espesh black leather. I live in California so fur is not really practical. The only fur thing I own is a vintage mink cape that I inherited from my grandmother. It does kind of creep me out sometimes too. Especially rabbit fur, since I have a pet rabbit. However, I do think that there is nothing more fabulous than a really beautiful fur coat.

i wear very little leather, and mostly because i think it is better than pvc or things that will never bio-degrade. fur? never.

I eat like a strict vegetarian, but when it comes to fashion I feel like a hypocrite. I don't wear fur, and I never would, but I do own a couple leather purses, belts, and pairs of shoes. To be fair, aside from one pair of shoes, I haven't purchased any new leather products for several years (since going hardcore veg), though I did just buy a leather bag vintage, which I guess I'm okay with because it's like recycling..?

I wear leather, and have an ancient angora sweater or two, vintage fur bags and a coat. I wouldn't go and buy a fur coat or bag brand new because I prefer vintage. I have no problem eating meat of any kind.

I don't like fur and feathers, so I don't wear them. But I think leather shoes are simply the best - they're comfortable and tend to smell less and I love the smell of my leather bag.

And the worm analogy doesn't make sense, sorry.

I wouldn't wear fur even if the animals were treated humanely before they were killed.

I wear leather, but if I had enough money, I would wear fur too! I think that what made people avoid fur and leather is not just because are died animals, but the treatment they receive until die. I mean, if they weren't torture in the process, nobody (when I say nobody I mean groups like PETA) would care to this!

I just can't wear fur - my parents are old hippies and instilled strong values in us: no fur, no veal, no foie gras, leather shoes only when needed (like running shoes for my mom, I avoid leather shoes). I think fur is just wrong - it's rare that we eat the animal we get fur from, plus I was always scarred by my step-grandma wearing a coyote coat with coyote heads and paws attached (remember in the Ghostbusters movie how the woman's fur coat came alivee? always been scared of that). Also, we have coyotes in our mountains, and they are super dirty mangy animals, like a stray dog. And I had a pet bunny (oddly enough eaten by the coyotes), so bunnny coats/hats/bags make me sad.

I wear leather. But I try to make informed choices.

I wear some leather but absolutely no furs.

I strive for none of the above. I do have a penchant for peacock feathers, but I try to remember that as lovely as they look on me, they look far better on their original owner.

Leather only. I try to minimize buying leather stuff (i.e. shoes, belts, bags, etc.), but I'm still trying to find some alternatives. I cannot wear fur at all.
