Emilio Pucci Laser-Cut Shift Dress Love It or Hate It

Emilio Pucci Laser-Cut Suede Shift Dress: Love It or Hate It?

With Spring in the air and flowers in bloom, my mind wanders toward bright colors and bold patterns. Perusing my favorite shopping sites, I pranced upon this Emilio Pucci Laser-Cut Suede Shift Dress ($2,900). Luckily, the dress comes attached with a nude slip so I won't have to worry about the laser cutouts. Is this dress Fabworthy or just an expensive rendition of the classic macramé?

I don't like the top, nude colored part of the dress but I do like the bottom part with the bright colors. I think the cut outs on the top are too large around the chest. You see too much of the slip.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I could picture myself wearing this with a nice pair of nude pumps.

The laser-cut designs are really pretty but the colors? Not for me.

i love when fashion mixes with other technology - i have always wanted to laser cut a little something in the laser cutter at my school - i am always worried it will char the fabric like it does with paper / cardboard / wood when i have cut. anyhow, this is an interesting idea, i just think it could have been carried out a little better.

At least this Pucci dress can be considered an artistic approach to fashion...especially compared to that hideous marc jacobs number posted the other day (sorry, i'm still not over that one-i think i've been traumatized)

shmoo15, that's exactly what I thought! The dress reminded me of art class.

It looks cute in the picture but I don't think it'll look good when worn.

The model pulls it off. I don't think many people in real life actually could.

I love it! Of course, I love all Pucci - it's so chic and fashionable, but with a little quirkiness that really appeals to me...
