Fab Gift Guide: Daddy Dearest

Robin Rotenier at ShopStyle

Whether or not you're a daddy's girl, pops should be a top priority when shopping for presents. After all, he did help Mamma Mia raise you. As a thank you for all his fatherly work, you should spend generously on Daddy Dearest. Silky ties, cozy cool sweaters, comfy slippers, and slick wallets are all daddy territory.

If yours is a golf fanatic, these Robin Rotenier Golf Bag & Ball Cuff Links ($295) will excite him. For non-sporty fathers, there are other goodies to light up his holiday.

I bought my dad Clint Eastwood's "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" and found out yesterday from my mom that he already has it. Darn. Back to the old drawing board.

My dad likes to play golf.. so what I'm doing is getting a custom bobblehead of him playing golf. He's a dorky fellow, so I'm sure he'll enjoy it.

uh, my dad is SO HARD TO BUY FOR! everything he wants, he gets for himself (at a discount, no less, due to his job) annoying!! when i buy him presents i tend to get him stuff that i want him to wear but that he wouldn't buy himself like casual leather shoes and nice sweaters (he's more of a sporty guy, but certain events call for fancy clothes, and he likes to look nice), but he doesn't need any of that this year because he recently had his birthday and he's pretty well set in the fashion department...i'm so screwed!

My dad's easy... we're both big history nerds, so I scour used bookstores to find a pile of historical fiction or coffee table books for him. Then we get to spend Xmas break discussing them. :)

hey lizlee how about food? I always give a food gift to those who don't like material things! This is a great post- we do Secret Santa in my family, so no one has to buy for all the adults, and we just buy for all the kids, but Mother and Father and Mother and Father in Law *ALWAYS* get honored with a gift,too-!- We run out of ideas over the years, and they don't like clothes gifts but those slippers and cuff links are fab! Even my father or father-in-law would like those gifts! They are a bit too fancy for our families lifestyles, but a variation or knock-off in a cute style would be perfect for us! thanks :)

how about for the dad who doesn't like stuff? seriously, my dad doesn't like any kind of material stuff at all - it's so frustrating when it comes to gift-giving!
