Join me in celebrating diversity by exploring Catch The Designers, a Macy's affiliated website dedicated to showcasing the works of Black, Asian, and Latino designers. The latter two sections are coming soon, but the Black Designers section is up and running. It includes designer profiles, interviews, trends, and more. Sweet!

Sometimes you have to uses different gimmicks to get noticed. Other wish these designers will be over looks. The fashion industry does not try to go out of their Way to see new designer's of any kind. If these will help them get notices , so be it.

Agreed with the above.

EkaterinaBallerina, I feel the same way. Putting labels on them cheapens their incredible work.

I kinda find this offensive. Why do they have to be Latino designers or Black designers? Can't they just be designers? Why does the color of their skin matter in how talented they are. Separating them like this is a bit like segregation. I mean Thakoon, Doo.Ri, Peter Som and Derek Lam are all incredibly talented designers and Asian, but I would hardly feel the need to specify that they are Asian designers. They are fashion designers. End of story.
