Kate Middleton's biggest fashion fan isn't a member of the royal court, and we can't believe we're saying this, but it isn't us either — we just admire her looks [1] from afar. In fact, it's Amanda Bell, a 21-year-old girl living in LA with a penchant for sophisticated dresses and an admiration for the way Kate pulls them off.
Amanda has admitted to spending roughly $2,250 scooping up copies of Kate's most iconic dresses, though there are times she'll splurge on a real designer item. Take the Anita Dongre dress Kate wore [2] on the royal tour of India and Bhutan. Amanda paid $380 for the genuine piece and has already deemed it her favorite one.
While Amanda's hobby started in 2012 when she first laid eyes on Kate's engagement dress [3], we don't think she'll quit anytime soon. In fact, she's still on the waiting list for the L.K. Bennett number [4] the duchess wore when the Obamas visited Kensington Palace.
Read on to see how much attention Amanda pays to detail, re-creating Kate's looks one by one, and compare them to the original version. She might just make you do a double take.
