You'll Want to Give Gisele Bündchen a Gold Medal For This Dress

Aug 6 2016 - 10:35am

Brazilian native Gisele Bündchen came out of retirement [1] to help kick off the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio [2] on Friday night. The supermodel made her triumphant return on what may just be the world's longest runway. In an interview with People ahead of the Opening Ceremony, Gisele confirmed as much: "This is for sure the longest runway I have ever walked in my life and by far with the most amount of people watching, so it is a little nerve-wracking [3]."

Despite any preshow jitters, Gisele looked every bit the pro she is, wearing a metallic gown by Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch while the song "The Girl From Ipanema" serenaded the crowd. We know the Games are just getting underway, but we're awarding Gisele the first unofficial gold medal for this flawless look. Read on to see it in full.
