Glitterati: Love Rocks NY

Remember back in the day when you wore pendants inscribed with your initials or best friend's name? Take that image in your head, fast forward to the present, and look at what designer, Limor Ratzabi Senker, has come up with.

Her jewelry line, dubbed Love Rocks NY, is all about taking what's near and dear to your heart to the next level of decadence. At first glance, her jewels might look simple, but dig deeper. Her fine collection is made out of 14k gold, platinum, and ethically sourced diamonds. Did you notice the sheen on all of her goods? That's from the special diamond dust finish. All handmade to precision. Alas, quality work comes at a high price. Her adornments range from $150 to $3,000, but isn't it all worth it?

I am so glad I was ahead of my time...I have been wearing a small dog tag that I had made in the '70's (Oops!), which I have given out a few times as gifts only to very special people, in different designs, that I did. Then I had an urge for a ball chain a couple of years ago and went hunting them down and have been wearing it since I found it... I am truly glad the designer uses ethically sourced stones...nice pieces

After my son was born I was looking for a charm that had his initial on it to wear on a necklace. I couldn't find anything I liked so I looked into designing my own line- which was way more than I could handle ass a stay-at-home mom working part time from the home with a newborn. I spotted a mom in our music class wearing one of these necklaces with 3 initial charms on it. I fell in love and it turns out she knows the designer. Now to save up....

It is a bit pricey. But it's what you get for handmade customize jewellery. Like Cadi Con Carne says, blood diamonds are not cool. I would love to buy one of those!!!

Loving that she uses ethically sourced diamonds. Some of the most gorgeous stones have the ugliest pasts.
