I used to work at BCBG, and people did this all the time - it was so disgusting and tacky, I hated that I had to actually take the stuff back even though it had blatantly been worn. Dresses would come back stinking of smoke/booze/perfume/BO, with deodorant caked into the armpits, and the women would say to me, "What? The tags are still on it!" And there's no way we can sell something on the floor in that condition - it has to be sent back as a damaged item. So, anyone who says "I'm just borrowing it", you're not, you're stealing it, because while you may not have the garment anymore, that store you 'borrowed' it from has lost an item and the chance to actually make a sale. Plus the girl that sold it to you, if those sales people get commissions, just lost her commission. So I guess you're 'borrowing' from her paycheck, too. If you can't afford something, don't buy it.

No, for me the fun in buying something is knowing you can wear it again!

I would never do this.

I would never do this because it's stealing! It doesn't surprise me when teens do it because they're young and stupid (no offense to any teens out there; it's just that I was a teen only a couple years ago and all my friends did this), but for any adult to do this is not only tacky but wrong and a little pathetic...

No way! I would hate if I ended up being the one that bought the garment after someone else already wore it out! Terrible.

I bought a pair of grey jeans I liked, but then I saw two other pairs I liked more two days later, I ended up returning the grey ones.

it's never really occurred to me...what would you do with the tags?

I would never. If you can't afford to keep it, don't buy it. There's always cheaper options out there.

Wow. After re-reading this question (and voting wrong) I finally realized what you were asking. It's been a long day already! I would never do this. Even though I voted yes, but that was before I actually understood the question. Stupid Mondays. :coffee:

I wish I could but I don't think I have it in me.

Nope. However, I've bought several dresses or shirts that wind up sitting in my closet for a week or 2 with tags on them and never get worn so I end up returning them.

I might if I thought I could get away with it! :) But I've never actually done that.
