I think it's ok to wear all black...however, we could add some "happiness" to the outfit by choosing pieces in different textures and materials and innovate cuts...

i used to wear all black since it was artistic, slimming, dependable and easy to match. however, i have noticed a lot of servers in restaurants wear all black as well, and i avoid it now.

I am one of those who are guilty of wearing a lot of black. In fact Black is my last name. I started to wear a lot of black when I traveled for work. It went with everything and didn't show dirt or stains easily. Wearing black has stuck with me ever since- although I am trying to spice up the color in my wardrobe.

I'd love to, it is even flattering for the body but also too goth and/or depressing!

in where i live, females have to wear all black for work and university, recently they let under 18 girls to wear grey or navy i don't like all black its depressing that is why i always had a colorful bag or back pack with colorful shoes! because we cant show our legs in public i mean we wear long pants or long dresses, and long sleeves so shoes and bags are the only option

Do all black but bare skin - that's my mantra.

I used to love wearing all black... until I worked at a salon where you were only allowed to wear black and white. Ugh. It got old FAST.

I'm a total ex-punk, mod wanna be from the 80's.... All black is what I spent my entire teen years in. Luckily, when I had my first child (and had to admit I was a suburban soccer mom in training), the hormones made me see colored clothes as fun. Now I love color. I rarely wear all black, but it still feels as comfy as PJ's or sweats when I do. Moving from NY to South also helped facilitate that wardrobe change....

Black is my fall-back. If I don't know what to wear... chances are I'll be dressed in black that day. :)

If you think all black is too "goth"....Stop labeling. I love wearing all black if the outfit fits, it helps me look thinner. If I don't want to look to dramatic, I add in some cute jewelry to balance it out.

Ew. I almost never wear black. Makes me feel goth-ish because I have very dark hair and a fair complexion. And also, all my accessories are all brown. I have black dress pants that I wore once to a job interview and a black Stones tee. That's about it.

i picked "other". i LOVE doing all black.... with a splash or 2 of intense color. like a detailed black button down with feminie details, pencil skirt, texture tights, topped off with cherry red patent high heel maryjanes and a lush purple leather satchel. trust me, its that demure-sexy vibe to a T :)

i wear black a lot because i like to and it makes me look thinner. i love the punk/goth look and thats what kind of clothes i wear. black can look too depressing of done wrong.

Definitely depends on how its done... some people look too goth, but otherwise it can look well put-together.

I'm an I wear black clothes all the time, yeah, lol. I guess it all comes down to preference. I'm not a follower of trends(most of the time), like you'll never see me in bright red-blue-green-yellow jeans but I do love my dark denim skinny jeans with high heels and a black tunic top.

Every time I go to an design/fashion/art cocktail party -- I can count on being awash is a sea of sheep-like-hip-youth smartly dressed in black. It's a uniform for the insecure. It screams, "I'm afraid of risk. I'm terrified of being authentic. I must blend in and be like everyone else." Wearing all black is a safe but boring fashion choice. Very appropriate for funerals, though.
