Like pretty much anyone living in a cold climate, I've been wearing puffy coats for about two decades, so I was a little confused to see my go-to outerwear being pushed as a trend this Winter.
How could something so utilitarian and familiar, a piece that's become a no-nonsense staple for so many ladies, cross over into gotta-have-it territory? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying no — when fashion and function collide, I'm thrilled. Sneakers and oxfords? Sign me up. Athleisure? All day, erryday! So . . . puffy coats? OK, yeah, why not?
