J.Crew Jelly Ballet Flats: Love It or Hate It?

These J.Crew Jelly Ballet Flats ($45) take me back to the time when jellies were hot — literally. J.Crew is trying to bring them back as a foul-weather jelly alternative. Would you wear them in rain, or not at all?

I like the color but my pair of jellys killed my feet.

The only reason I have a "like!" reaction is because they look like patent in the photo, and I dig that shiny, juicy colour saturation. But *knowing* they're plastic, I would never subject my feet.

I don't wear jelly ballet flats but i love the color.

I'm confused about how those would be good shoes to wear in the rain.

not a jelly person...i'll stick to my rain boots. Plus how do you not expect to get water in those???

They'd be adorable to cruise the boardwalk/beach in, paired with an adorable cover-up... other than that, not too sure... They very much resemble the croc's flats... but the croc's are cuter, more comfortable, and won't make your feet sweat...

I came across some the other day and loved them!

I feel like they'd be uncomfortable, squishy and sweaty. Real jellies went out for a reason.

I love the idea of a material other than leather, fabric etc. but they look like my feet would sweat! I actually am really excited about another similar type of shoe that I think is even better http://www.jbandme.com/store/products/1576-melissa-zig-zag they are awesome!! Plus there are a couple of other styles that I also love...especially the blue ones!!

they look good. bet their terrible in the summer though, and the price is abit much for plastic shoes. :/

Those are cute when it rains, but they're too hot for regular days and too expensive for jelly flats.

Hate it. These ones in particular remind me of the rubbers my grandfather use to wear over his dress shoes when the weather was bad... except red.
