Julie Haus Boardwalk Dress: Love It or Hate It?

Too much of a good thing? That question came to mind when I looked at this Julie Haus Boardwalk Dress ($355). I like all of the individual elements — the buttons, pleats, sweetheart neckline, and the bright blue color — but the combination of it all looks strange and too busy. What do you think?

I love it; it's a bit surreal. I wouldn't buy it, though; I could probably make it myself.

if it didn't have the pleats i would love it. i love the color and the buttons so much! that's why i'm on the undecided.

I agree it looks a little busy, but I like it overall. Again, I am in the minority.

Kinda cute, kinda quirky...I'd consider wearing it if the price wasn't so ridiculous.

It looks strange and unflattering and reminds me of the '80s, when more was more. The only things it's missing are shoulder pads.

I love it, only because I know someone who would look great in this dress. But then again, she's fifteen. I don't think a normal adult should wear this.

i'm undecided about this one to be honest. the skirt of the dress reminds me of a Development skirt from like 5 years ago - and the snaps are a nice touch, but i'm not sure that they are going to be flattering on everyone.

I actually adore it & would wear it in a heartbeat with the right pieces. However, I would never be able to purchase this for $355!

It's ok...but I think in order for it to get pulled off, it needs to fit on someone PERFECTLY!

There is just too much going on in that dress. And for $355 dollars?! If I really wanted to wear something like that, it would be cheaper for me to go buy the cloth I want to use and make the stupid thing myself.

Too much! I would hate to look like those trainwrecks who love to combine to many trends on one outfit. I just can't see myself pulling this off, so this may be more of an expression of envy when thinking of those who may be able to do it.

$355!!! You have to be kidding me!! Awful! Although, this is something that Kirsten Dunst or Natalie Portman would wear.
