Stars & Stripes: Celebrity Looks to Inspire Your Fourth of July Style

Jul 4 2013 - 8:00am

Fourth of July is always one of our favorite holidays, so it's no big surprise that we've got red, white, and blue on the brain. If you, too, are wondering what your patriotic wardrobe is going to look like, why not let our favorite stylish celebrities do the work for you? For starters, turn to Reese Witherspoon [1] in her striped blazer and red pumps, Taylor Swift [2]'s navy-and-white striped dress with red add-ons, or January Jones [3]'s red-and-blue striped sweater and boyfriend denim. Want more Fourth of July style fodder? Just head inside for 13 red, white, and blue celebrity ensembles to draw inspiration from.

Just like Reese Witherspoon [4] did while on mommy duty in LA recently, pair a striped blazer with your favorite denim, then amp things up with a pair of red pumps. Then jazz things up even more with statement sunglasses and a gold necklace.

For a dressier vibe, start with a navy-and-white striped dress, then throw in lots of red via a bag, sandals, and lips à la Taylor Swift [5].

You don't have to be traveling to re-create January Jones [6]'s airport look. Just find a bold red-and-blue striped top, then add distressed denim for a cool finish.

Go relaxed like Sienna Miller [7] did by sporting a navy and white sweater with boyfriend jeans and snazzy red ballet flats.

For an edgier Fourth of July outfit, look no further than Rihanna [8] in a red patent leather skirt. Then tone it down with a gray tee, a denim jacket, and black pumps.

Ashley Benson's casual LA look is perfect for a daytime barbecue. Find a white tee that features blue and red writing, then throw on your favorite denim cutoffs and Converse sneakers.

Go fancy in a red-and-white striped dress, white pumps, and a blue clutch like Louise Roe did at an event in LA.

To get Diane Kruger [9]'s dainty style, add a bright red belt to a navy and white dress, then for an unexpected finish, neon yellow sandals.

For a classic-chic feel, mimic Candice Swanepoel's ensemble by matching a red-and-white striped sweater with cream pants, a navy blazer, and matching navy loafers.

For a touch of retro, opt for a navy-and-white polka-dot dress and red pumps like Krysten Ritter's ensemble.

The Fourth of July would be super comfy and cute in Anna Faris [10]'s style. Find a red, white, and blue striped top, then add dark denim and tan boots.

Model Julia Stegner's two-toned blouse and shocking red trousers would make quite the unique Fourth of July look. If you don't own a two-toned blouse, just style a white blouse with a blue scarf.

Brenda Song's LA ensemble — a white tank with distressed jeans and a red crossbody bag — is a great way to play the cool-girl part, and you probably already own similar pieces.
