>> The Chanel couture show Karl Lagerfeld hosted on an airplane wasn't the end of his dalliance with aviation — his next project is designing luxury helicopters.
Lagerfeld will collaborate with helicopter maker AgustaWestland to revamp its line of VIP choppers. He'll start with redesigning the interior and exterior of the company's AW139, a twin-engine helicopter that can seat up to 15 people, but his work could extend to other commercial models. The company told WWD that it admires Lagerfeld's "creativity and sophisticated style" and will use his talents to "introduce a new, limited edition, customized solution" to its customers.
Take a look through the gallery to see what the AW139 looks like currently.
