Kate Middleton's Dress Flying Up Pictures

9 Times Kate Middleton's Outfit Was No Match For a Gust of Wind

Kate Middleton is one of the chicest women in the world, and it has very little to do with the fact that she's a member of the royal family. Even before she tied the knot with Prince William in 2011, the duchess boasted a wardrobe full of easy, classic pieces that also happened to translate well during a high-profile event (or tea with the queen). These days, nearly everything Kate throws on grabs headlines, but that doesn't mean she's immune to one of fashion's most treacherous pitfalls — a gust of wind.

Over the years, Kate has fallen victim to a windy day on numerous occasions and in many different countries; most recently, the white Emilia Wickstead dress she wore during a day in India was no match for a gust of wind, but as usual, Kate played it completely cool. It just goes to show that anyone can have a Marilyn Monroe moment, even royalty. Keep reading for nine times that Kate's look was straight out of The Seven Year Itch.

In February 2012, Kate's Orla Kiely dress was blown up by a gust as she visited the Rose Hill Primary School in England.

Back in April 2013 when she was pregnant with Prince George, the polka-dot Topshop dress Kate wore flew up a bit in the back — but she played it cool.

Kate attended a charity event in London back in November 2013, and her navy Orla Kiely skirt nearly got the better of her.

Kate made her first official appearance after announcing her first pregnancy while welcoming Singapore's president to the UK in October 2014. She covered up in a bespoke Alexander McQueen coat, which caught a stiff breeze. Hey, at least her hat stayed on.

In March 2015, a very pregnant Kate — who was expecting Princess Charlotte at the time — covered her bump in a pale pink Alexander McQueen coat for church service at Westminster Abbey (on a significantly windy day).

While arriving for their official tour of Australia and New Zealand in April 2014, a Catherine Walker-clad Kate was so focused on holding baby George that she had some trouble keeping her red coat dress from blowing in the wind. A little help here, William?

In April 2016, while arriving at a war memorial in India, Kate almost fell victim to a heavy gust of wind that blew up her Emilia Wickstead dress. The most Marilyn moment so far!
