Kate Middleton joined the royal family at Buckingham Palace to welcome the king and queen of Spain [1] to the UK. Needless to say, she was swathed in jewels for the state banquet, which called for Princess Diana's Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara [2], a piece she's now worn three times. Kate also debuted a brand-new necklace from the queen [3] called the Bandeau, which is speckled with crystals and rubies.
All this helped to play up a dusty rose Marchesa number with fluted sleeves and a voluminous skirt. She needed little more than pearl drop earrings to complete the look.
