Lara Stone Talks to Vogue UK October 2010 About Quitting Smoking and Loving America's Next Top Model

Lara Stone Is an America's Next Top Model Fan

>> Lara Stone had more free time than usual this show season — she walked exclusively for Calvin Klein — and she tells British Vogue in the magazine's November 2010 cover story that she's not interested in raising her profile. "I don't think people on the street recognize me ever. And I like that. If I wanted to be recognized every five minutes, I'd hire a publicist." In fact, the British press has kept a reasonable distance from Stone and her new husband David Walliams lately — "We've got a court order," she explains.

Stone says she's happiest "vegging out in front of America's Next Top Model." When asked if the show has taught her any modelling tips, she deadpans: "Smizeing," referring to Tyra Banks's abbreviation for "smiling with your eyes." "I'm good at that," she adds.

She's been alcohol-free for a year and a half now, and as for smoking: "I'm planning to quit tomorrow, I've had enough!" She plans to kick it "through willpower. It's a bit worrying though — if you don't drink and smoke any more, there's nothing . . . " And now that she's married, are children in the future? "Not yet. But I would love to have children some day. I'd like little gay boys. That would be good. I'm terrified of having a little girl. Girls are more evil than boys. And then they have boyfriends." She corrects herself: "Of course, I'd be happy to have a girl."
