Where on Earth Will Fashion Week Go Next?

There's no place like home — at least, for New York designers [1], there isn't. When we asked some of the city's finest where on Earth they'd stage their show if they could have their pick (Fendi walked on the Great Wall of China, after all), a resounding number selected locations right in their own backyard. With everything from Central Park to the city's architecture striking a chord, see which dream venues these soon-to-show designers [2] chose.

"The New York Public Library — it is so elegant and elaborate." — Charlotte Ronson [4]

"Center 548 in Chelsea. Beautiful white gallery space with sun coming through the windows. I love a raw space, so the collection can really take center stage." — Rebecca Taylor [5]

"I would have it by the animal dioramas at the Natural History Museum. There's something very comforting about those scenes; they're quirky and surreal." — Whitney Pozgay [6]

"I would love to hold my show at the new Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District, because the Renzo Piano-designed building will be stunning, and you have a spectacular view of the Hudson River." — Pamella Roland [7]

"A monastery in Tibet or Ladakh. " — Bibhu Mohapatra [8]

"The Dia Beacon in Beacon, NY. I really love how it displays a duality between modern architecture and nature." — Misha Nonoo [9]

"I always loved SoHo and other venues downtown; the grand lobby in the Woolworth Building would be incredible!" — Nicole Miller [10]

"Highway 54, in the middle of the great American West." — Mathieu Mirano [11]

"The Cloisters, because we ruffians love a castle" — Ruffian [12]

"At the original Barbizon Hotel, circa 1958 — its mystique and famous roster of residents are the inspiration behind my Fall collection." — Erin Fetherston [13]

"We would love to have an outdoor show! It would be gorgeous to show in some secluded section of Central Park; there is something so magical about being surrounded by so much nature while being in the muck of the city." — Costello Tagliapietra [15]

"I would choose somewhere warm and toasty with sand under our feet." — Mara Hoffman [16]
