How to Wear White After Labor Day — Because Heck Yes, We're Going To

Look of the Day: Heavy Metal!

What a way to get the party started! shoeaholic was looking all heavy metal at a birthday party - I love how she paired the eye-catching metallic skirt with a much more casual message tee. This outfit has a great balance going on - it looks comfortable but edgy at the same time!

Here's what she has on:

  • Top: Versace
  • Skirt: French Connection
  • Shoes: Zara

Congrats to shoeaholic!

The shirt is too casual for the shimmery skirt and shoes. While each article of clothing is nice on its own, the only thing I would really like to own are the shoes.

I love this look! It's great how you've paired two completely different styles so effortlessly.

Sorry, but as a musician, I really don't see what's so "heavy metal" about it. The shoes are cute though. I love Zara.

Awesome t-shirt, cute skirt (only a few body types could wear that!) - but the silver shoes are too much. You only need one silvery thing...

the skirt is a bit too long and the shoes are too matchy but nice try! way to go!

Eh, I love the shirt, but the skirt just doesnt do it for me, reminds me of a feminine Tin Man Drag.

Sorry, I don't really like it. I especially don't like the silver shoes with the silver skirt, and yes, sham pain, the t-shirt is too casual, imo.

I really love the navy and silver, but I just can't love the t-shirt, it just is *too* t-shirty for me.

Beautiful outfit and I completely fell in love with it. Dark blue suits silver much better than the plain back and it's far more original. But I see "shorts" written in the look description? This looks like a tulip or puff skirt to me! Am I wrong?
