After giving us sheer joy in a tulle floral Rodarte blouse [1], former First Lady Michelle Obama [2] is back to prove her post-White House style [3] is better than ever. For her and Barack Obama's portrait unveiling at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery [4], Michelle wore an eye-catching navy outfit by Peter Pilotto.
She stood by her gorgeous portrait in a long-sleeved gown that featured ruched detailing and an asymmetrical hemline. If you look closely, you'll notice that her dress also had a dark floral pattern on it. In contrast, the multi-colored halter number Michelle wore in her portrait (painted by Baltimore-based artist Amy Sherald) was a custom Milly design. Read on to see both dresses and buy similar versions of her navy look ahead.
