Monique Lhuillier's Fall 2014 bridal collection felt like a walk through an enchanted forest — and that probably has something to do with the branches, moss, and birdcages that greeted the editors who attended her presentation last week. Lhuillier's elegant tablescape was filled with all manner of floral accents, and so was a table featuring her stationery. As for the shoes? They were arranged artfully along one wall with a pair of hanging birdcages and an albino peacock thrown in for good decorative measure.
But the stunning dresses were the main event. Many of them were created with Chantilly lace and white or ivory silk organza. A number of them were simple creations, like a column dress with an embroidered cap sleeve, but others were far more elaborate, with lace vines and leaves snaking over embroidered lattice.
