New Year's Fabalutions

New Year's Fabalutions

2007 is not over yet, and once the thrill of Christmas is gone, I start to get serious. And, ultimately, reflect on the year past. While I don't consider myself traditional, I do manage to conjure up a couple New Year's resolutions that I try my darndest to stick too. And I know I'm not the only Fabionista out there with imperfections. I thought it would be fun to share mine with you and to create an inspirational worksheet you can fill out and stick on the inside of your closet. That's where mine is going come New Year's Day. Let's do this together and then we can help each other stick to our guns. And while you're deciding yours, why don't you share them below?

I love the idea of posting this inside your closet. What a great way to help remind me everyday! #1 - Shopping smarter. Buying pieces that truley fit, work inside my existing wardrobe, and that I really need (not just want). #2 - Money - spending only what I can afford and paying attention to my long term money goals. #3 - Developing my personal style more. Becoming confident in my style and body. :)

Quality over quantity, definitely. It's better for so many reasons - it's cheaper in the long run, high end clothing tends to be more flattering (especially if you invest in tailoring), and hey, buying fewer well-made pieces is even more environmentally friendly.

What a wonderful list! I actually just made my last CC payment today! So I am officially debt free for '08 (it was my '07) goal. Now onto the Quality vs. Quantity! Happy New Year!

Mine would be: 1. Pay off a good chunk of my credit card debt and stop adding to it. 2. Cut back on impulse buys. 3. Stick to good designers, clothes that are made well, and will last. 4. Wear more of my dresses and skirts, not just to work (I have SO many cute ones that don't get enough wear) 5. Organize all my jewelry and accessories in a neat but easy-to-see way (while my closet is always neat, my jewelry is scattered about in several jewelry boxes...I forget what I own!)

Great resolutions, Fab! And I hear you on the credit card debt...I would like to pay most of mine off in 2008. I also agree with #2. I am really not into a lot of stores I used to like anymore, I find the clothes are cheap-looking and poorly made. I don't mind spending the extra money on a piece that is made well, looks/feels great, and will last a long time. I already do #3 and #4, but I definitely could work on #5. I have my lazy days where I don't feel like putting together a great outfit.
