Everything Olivia Palermo Wore to Fashion Month Has Us Rethinking All Our Outfits

Oct 10 2018 - 4:39pm

We imagine Olivia Palermo's Fashion Week [1] schedule rarely leaves room for a coffee break, let alone an outfit change. Nonetheless, the fashion pro arrives for every front-row invitation dressed impeccably, making us wonder season after season just how she does it. Seemingly unfazed by the weather, the street style scene [2], and the comings and goings of fashion's It items, Olivia's style is poised and entirely her own. This season, she supplied us with contemporary suiting, boy-meets-girl twists, and a black-tie look that'll make you rethink the dress code altogether.

Inside, a look at everything she wore from New York to Paris — and the limitless inspiration that comes with them.

If this isn't flat-out fun fashion, what is? Olivia put her signature spin on quirky prints and ladylike separates at Paris Fashion Week for a playful outfit that didn't short on the cool factor. We're also seriously smitten with those bow-adorned flats.

During the Paris shows, Olivia turned the sidewalk into a runway with this feather-trimmed and embellished jacket to top black pants and bow-adorned flats.

A furry bomber was the finishing touch on this cozy look at Paris Fashion Week.

Olivia added interest to this matching set with a button-down layered underneath. Artful layering is a specialty of the style star's, and she put it to work throughout the week in Paris.

Olivia stuck to classics with this Paris Fashion Week look, adding interest with a leather finish on her midi skirt and a pair of knee-high boots.

One of our favorites: Olivia gave classic stripes a contemporary twist by selecting a neon green version and styling it with patent pants.

Committing to a color story, Olivia leaned into an orange palette for a polished take on monochromatic dressing.

Ladylike with a twist is some of Olivia's best work — this time, she updated a maxi skirt with combat boots, a military jacket, and a wide leather belt.

With a pleated skirt in a gorgeous emerald color, Olivia needed little else to dress up this look. She stuck to cat-eye shades and heeled sandals.

Cher Horowitz, is that you? Olivia's take on that iconic yellow plaid was a cool riff on menswear, right down to the white loafers.

In Milan, Olivia slipped into sequins and texture for a look that wowed us all.

Even in "basic" black, Olivia is a trendsetter. With a statement belt and flats, everything from the proportions to the add-ons felt fresh.

She was slick in all black, save for those fresh white pumps, at the Bosideng show.

The style star suited up in a striped Smythe suit at the Sally LaPointe show.

A mix master, Olivia layered a printed top under leather overalls — and tossed a decorative coat right over it — for the Zimmermann show.

Olivia remixed a plaid Tibi suit with a sporty and bright Tibi zip-up while heading to the show in NYC.

This look was all about texture in a feathered top at the Escada show.

While running around NYC, Olivia was a bright spot in an orange vest and emerald pumps.

Olivia tempered a full-length skirt and romantic top with patent brogues at the Self-Portrait show.

For Ralph Lauren's 50th anniversary show, Olivia looked elegant in a lace-topped black jumpsuit.

While running around New York Fashion Week, Olivia's take on white on white was fresh and Fall-forward, thanks to a well-cut blazer and brogues to finish it all off.
