Relaxed and youthful it seems to be.

The lookbook is nice enough (I especially the bubbleskirt with the printed tank) but... once I poked around target I realized that when mixed into my closet or on my body, these aren't going to look nearly as chic as they do in that lookbook, and they aren't going to wear well. That said I'm glad to see more designers doing these Go lines, or participating in projects like Gap's recent white blouse thing. It's exciting.

I have been waiting 3 months for the promising Patrick Robinson because I thought the designs were the closest (and cheapest) way of reflecting my style. The medallion printed 3 quarter inch sleeve brown and cream dress was my absolute anticipated item. I tried on every item available at Target and to my dissapointed the fit and shape was not flattering on my body type (34B-26-36; 120 lbs, size 2-4- depends if the store is lying or being truthful to me). I tried on a small and to my surprise, it was too large. I went for the XS, but the fit was still a little bit funky. The material was hard and rough and the fit did not conform to my waist, like shown on the model- who is by the way, absolutely petite, most likely, more petite than I am which thereby logic states, that she would be wearing the XS. However, the XS was too loose around my waist and back. I felt like somebody just wrapped a piece of hard curtain on me. I thought the fit would conform to my waist, much like a drop cinched waist, but really, it just fell STRAIGHT DOWN. Also, the print was not as intricate and detailed as it appeared. The pixellation was quite large, but not terrible. Trust me, I wished my hardest that it could work. I was planning my entire wardrobe with this line.Proenza Schouler was definitely higher quality than this. Even other Target brands, such as Mossimo are better than this. I know that Patrick Robinson is "laid back", but come on. Don't skimp on quality. Overall, the other pieces gave me similar problems. I know that the entire line is supposed to be beach savvy, with a Meditteranean/Morrocan theme, however, I feel that it just isn't distinct enough.

Haha I'm an American living abroad in Britain and no one ever gets my excitement for Target ... I guess you could only compare it to the excitement felt here for Primark but then again Target has EVERYTHING!!! I love a lot of the clothes featured in the Go International line, but the cutting is always a little bit off, I've found and never fits me right. How frustrating!
