Does anybody remember when Cindy Crawford used to do House of Style on MTV, or maybe she was on a episode of it back in the early 90s...I'll never forget her saying she wore a size 6-8. Granted, a size 6-8 back then is probably different from today's size 6-8. Anyway, I would definitely fall into the plus-sized category in the modeling world, considering I'm 5'9" @ 34-28-39, which is a few inches shy of Crystal Renn's measurements, but that I still can wear a size 4-6. Crazytown!

I think it's important to note that the "normal-sized" models tend to run between sizes 00-2. "Plus-sized" models tend to run sizes 6-8. It's thus important to note that they make these clothes in a size that fit the plus-sized model, but not an actual plus-sized person. It's shocking how few designer labels carry plus-sized clothing. It's each company's prerogative, of course, but I think it's worth noting that it's likely that none of these clothes exist in a size 12, let alone a size 20.

I think both women look sexy . Size 0 to Size 16. I don't think fashion is made for obese women but why should it be. Fashion isn't made with just one kind of particular woman. It's about personality and interpretation. Women choose to be fat just like they choose to be skinny just like they choose to be fashionable or not. If you eat to the point where McDonald's is your choice of meal for 365 days expect a tire or two. Just like if you choose to to not eat and only live off of caffeine and alcohol expect an emaciated disgusting look. Personally I want to see women with an athletic , toned body that shows you need to work hard and be conscious of yourself with a healthy lifestyle.

I agree that Crystal Renn doesn't look plus size at all. Sure she looks bigger than the other model, but that's because the other model is impossibly thin. It's a sad, sad world when Crystal is considered "plus size" in these pics. What does that make the other model? "Average size"????

They both look great. However, I don’t get the point of pitting them against each other. It’s like a pose off. Why can’t they just feature all sizes throughout the magazine in different pictorials? Is it supposed to be really "cutting edge" that they featured both "plus size" (ha ha) and regular sized models in pictorial?

crystal's pictures look a lot more interesting to me. i cant believe designers call themselves "artists" and fail to see the creative opportunity in using different sized women for designing clothing.

Crystal Renn is HAWTT!! Fashion is complicated because it has aesthetic, business, consumer and artistic aspects to it, so changing just one element (the size of the models) won't address the myriad of perjudices we see on the runway...the lack of diversity in terms of ethnicity or race, and even height, age or gender (the business is def not equally between guys and girls)...thankfully something that's become slightly more democratic is availability in terms of price (through e-bay, thrifting etc)

I don't know what this proves accept that clothes that hang off of rail thin models can be worm by normal sized tall women. Where is the real plus sized women?
