Watched the Fashion Police show on the awards last night and got some background on this dress. The designer is from Korea town. The dress is most likely an interpretation of traditional Korean dress. Therefore I love it!

I think a lot of the negative comments center around the bow, but I think it's be best part of the dress. The dress is based on a traditional korean dress that has a bow in the front. I love how this dress skewed it a bit but not losing what it's main objective was. If it lost the bow, it would just be a pouffy dress.

Not. Flattering.

awful. the dress adds weight to her, and the lopsided bow on the chest isn't doing anything for her.

Agreed gruaig_rua, I was going to say she looks like a hastenly wrapped present that got left over from Christmas. It's a shame since she's a truly attractive woman!

She looks like a tacky box of chocolates!

UGH! So ugly. I don't know how Debbie from E! told Jay Manuel that she liked the dress

If it's based on traditional Korean dress then it makes sense! The more I look at it the more I like it...the more you look at it, the more it grows on or maybe it's the bow growing!! I'm kidding, but I do like it better each time.

I agree with some of the other people here that it's great that she's incorporating her Korean culture into her outfits for the red carpet. Granted, yes, the dress does not flatter her figure at all, but I don't know if she was necessarily aiming to be placed on a best-dressed list. I read on that the dress was designed by a Korean designer based in LA's Koreatown and that Sandra thinks her work is great.

I like Sandra but think she really needs to rethink her style - she wears the most horrid things a LOT!

OMG Sandra Oh is such a fashionista! The play on volume, the big almost theatrical bow, and the nod to the traditional hanbok costume... I applaud on all levels. Looks like this are what I love watching awards fashion for, not the boring "pretty" dresses everyone else is on. My only complaint would be her hair and make-up which did not do the dress justice; but then, maybe that should be said o'er at bellasugar.

The fact that she took a risk is refreshing, not that I didn't love some of the more traditional glamorous red carpet looks. I agree that it was cool she used a local up and coming designer, and that her dress had a cute Korean feel. She was definitely thinking global and acting local!

i thought it was great how she took a chnace on a local designer and gave her credit on the carpet....that was really amazing of her to do......that being said, the dress was not horrific, but not so great either....

um, as much as I enjoy reading FabSugar, it makes me really sad that some of the readers are so close-minded. Dresses doesn't have to be slimming and form-fitting to be beautiful. I think this dress is fantastic.

I think it's dramatic. The bow might be a little too much, but other than that, I think she looks fab. And I love how she brings her Korean culture onto the red carpet.

I think its a great modern take on a traditional korean dress.

I think they should've found a different way to incorporate the Korean influence. This does not look great. Not surprising that Sandra Oh always seems to find herself in the Worst Dressed lists with numbers like this.

I like how the dress merges Korean and Western influences, but the cutting could have been a little more flattering...
