I'll admit it, I've been the Little Mermaid twice for Halloween, once when I was 5 and later in my 20s — so you can bet my costumes looked totally different. When I was little, I cried as my mom forced ballet slippers onto my feet, insisting that mermaids have fins. Last year I nixed the wig, sported a bandeau bra, and went for sky-high heels.
