i say quality all the way. but for something trendy or really simple and basic, i can sacrifice quality.

even with quality you might have to tailor.

Quality, it helps you evaluate what you really need.

Quality, because then the things last longer, and eventually you will have the quantity. And I'm in my 20s also.

Quality should never be sacrificed. And I disagree about the age comment because I am only in my 20s but I know if I invest in good quality, it's money well-spent.

Quantity! But maybe that's an age thing...

I go for quality when shopping for shoes and lingerie. But everything else: quantity!

Quantity! I was shopping in England-London, but I live in Poland, so I'll have clothes, which no one will have in my city. That's pretty cool. But if I'll be older, I think I'll prefer quality. That's how it is.

yes I agree that being young (i.e. broke) quantity is kind of more natural than quality. Its because of the thrift stores!

Quality, and with a watchful eye.

Quantity for me because I don't want to wear the same outfit even for a month. My clothes should be repeated after one month. I buy summer and spring dresses at cheaply but for winter like jackets, coats and boots, I go for quality. I don't want to spend $20 for a basic tee. I could buy a $7 tee. Or I dont want to spend $100 for a pair of jeans when I cang get them at $35

Quantity! Because, for example, you don't want to be caught wearing the same clothes repeatedly in the same place, right? And especially if the quality of the article of clothing is of such good quality and has such a respected brand that people won't forget it! But i do agree to have a few quality items to treasure! :)

Quality is very important but when you've only a limited set of clothes you'd want some variety even if it's cheap: a different t-shirt for everyday!

Quality is the most important (although expensive does not always equal quality). To me, clothes that are of good quality are cut well, are well fabricated, come in better fabrics, last forever, and look good after washing (no shrinking, no color fade, etc). Choosing quality over quantity also means having a more organized closet :0)

quality all the way....especially with key classic items (like black courts, white shirts etc)..with accesories or "it" items you can skrimp on quality but never with the classics!

I like classic pieces that I can wear in years and not look like a hobo. I'm not much into seasonal fashion so I could go with quality and not cry about money spent.

I would pick quantity for now because I don't really need quality clothes because I like to play around and wear different outfits as often as possible. And I can sew so if there is any minor defect I can fix it myself. As for shoes.. even the worse quality ones I've had are good with some resuable foot pads...

I think when you're young it can be more important to have more clothes to play with than a few good ones? I dunno, thats what I think.
