Mike Doughty has a catchy little song "Tremendous Brunettes" - check it out and celebrate your dark hair.

im naturally a light brown...i have been blonde, red and just about everything in between, i feel most confident when my hair is like a med - dark brown..but then during the summer i always just start out with highlights and by the end of the summer its blonde blonde again!

I'm a truly truly natural blonde, as in never touched by any color so I really can't say since I've never been anything else. But I sure have a lot of fun!!! ;)

I've been blonde (super, double-processed platinum) blonde and I had LOTS of attention in those days. I wore it short in a little pixie cut (when those were in) and loved it. However, I hated how it didn't shine. My colourist was really good, and my hair wasn't damaged, I just get sooooo much shine on matural dark hair that I couldn't stand how undefined it looked blonde. Then I went red. Very fun. Then I went black. Sexy fun. Now I'm a very dark brown, just where my DNA says I should be and I love it the most. For me!

well, I'm a natural blonde & I love it! My hair gets darker in the winter (duh) but it is still fairly light. I dyed it blue a couple of times & have had pink streaks (I LOVED them), but other than that I've always been blonde. I would love to dye it red, but I have a fairly florid complexion so I don't know if it would work

I say hell yeah! Of course, I've never been anything else! I'm a natural blonde who gets highlights and lowlights (stays natural but with depth and movement). On the other hand, I have blonde eyebrows I have to darken and white skin that burns in 15 mins. of sun, so there is a downside, too! When I was young I wanted dark red hair and green eyes but now I'm happy with blonde hair & blue eyes. I guess you always want what you don't have, so you just have to deal. BaltimoreGal

I've been everything from platinum blonde to black... I must say I like the color I'm at now, which is a natural looking blond with highlights. Nothing too fake looking. Though it was nice having brown hair, it just ends up looking so dull after a while.

I love having dark hair. I've colored my hair a million times but I always keep it dark. For the past few years, I've kept it my natural color - very, very dark brown.

i'm also a natural blonde and dyed to red, but now i'm back to blonde. the upkeep sucks for red if you're not natural. if i was a natural redhead, i'd never dye it. but i'm happy now that i'm back to blonde because i can wait six (or more!) months between dye jobs (love those hi/low lights). i'm also naturally curly, but i straighten my hair everyday. since i went back to blonde and straight, i've gotten a lot more attention from people. or maybe it's just in my head? i think it has more to do with the straight than the blonde...

Being someone who is naturally blonde then dyed my hair red and is now a chestnut brown I would definitely have to say I prefer brown. Although red is pretty fun- the upkeep isnt fun though, its fades too fast. If I ever go blonde again Im going platinum I like to go to overseas places- like Canada! -Britney Spears
