With just two years in the making, Soludos espadrilles have taken the Summer fashion scene by storm with its chic, laid-back attitude and affordable price points. With no design background in his past, founder Nick Brown started the brand because he couldn't find a pair of decent espadrilles in NYC without having to spend a lot of money. With a mission in mind, Brown decided to create his own budget-friendly line — prices range from $42 to $65 — of jute-soled espadrilles reminiscent of the pairs he wore as a kid during vacations in Spain. Needless to say, the brand has already garnered a huge following among the fashion set and celebrities, including Kate Bosworth, Anne Hathaway, and Jennifer Garner. Additionally, collaborations with brands like J.Crew, Opening Ceremony, and Mara Hoffman have catapulted Soludos's popularity nationwide. We sat down with the founder to hear the latest about the line, upcoming collaborations, and exciting expansion into a whole new category.
