Trend Alert: Tailored Dresses

Hello woman! I know I'm not alone in my excitement about Fall's sophisticated, ladylike offerings. If you were always a trapeze dress hater, find your salvation in tailored dresses. While volume was definitely a player on the runways, so was a streamlined look. As we learned from America Ferrera, you don't have to be rail thin to work a tailored frock - another downside of the trapeze silhouette. (Obviously I'm an advocate here) - a tailored dress is classic, a staple every wardrobe should have. With the 50s style vibe these deliver, have fun with your face and play up with bright red lips or smoky eyes. Smokin'!

i love the ladylike look of these tailored dresses. the trapeze dress look didn't last long - probably a testament to its difficulty to suit multiple body types! i'm not rail thin by any stretch of the imagination, so it'll be interesting to see if i can find a good tailored dress. Love that Nine West one.

I adore tailored dresses! I don't have stick legs to pull off the trapeze look. ;-) The brown/black Yoana dress is so gorgeous. Wish I had $400 to spare!
