Back of On Our Radar, Victoria Beckham Shows Off Her Dresses: Update Update: More posh styles from Victoria Beckham's dress collection have been released. See them in gallery below. A few months earlier, Victoria Beckham announced that she will be designing a dress collection. Now, we have the pictures to prove it. The debut dresses encompass a style true to her own with a collection of streamlined sheaths and embellished strapless dresses such as the ones seen below. “The collection was inspired by the femininity and sophistication of the midcentury silhouette,” said Beckham. “I’ve always been drawn to intricate, seam-detailed designs, as their structure enhances the flattering shape of a woman’s silhouette.” Her 10-style collection incorporates basket-weave cotton, fine gazar, and georgette silks embellished with Indian embroidery and beading. Beckham's dresses range from $600 to $1,400 at wholesale, and will be unveiled via private showings during New York Fashion Week. They very lovely and easy to dress up a million different ways. CannavaroLover 9 years I love Victoria, but I too was completely unimpressed. Very ordinary...not a jean jumpsuit to be found! LOLzzz!!! Seriously though, my girls wouldn't fit in these dresses. lizlee89 9 years wow, am I the only one that was completely unimpressed by every single one of these pieces?! I mean, my God, her LBD was like the exact dress Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's! what, did she raid Paramount's costume closet?! I just don't understand how anyone could think anything but indifference for these designs - they're nice, but so ordinary... CoralAmber 9 years I actually really liked most of this collection. I am shocked! Although I never could afford it, I might be able to copy some details. It looks like she took one dress pattern and then just changed a few things on each, but she has a great eye and sense of fashion, so it works. Although it comes in larger sizes, I would like to see it on some models with a tummy or love handles. I don't know if they could pull it off without a girdle! Fleurie 9 years If I can afford them, I'll have all of them.. candle15 9 years the dresses are fab but way over priced lilflowa 9 years the full dress range starts from size 6-14. Anyway love the navy blue bigestivediscuit 9 years Any celeb design to me will never be "designer." I'd rather spend my money on a Vivienne Westwood creation than these size-0 frocks. And if you're anything more than a size 0 these will not work for you. sophiek 9 years I agree with you Cadi Con Carne! The pointy boobs remind me of the old "cross your heart bra" commercials in the 80's. I can't imagine a c or d cup in these dresses. They would look like small missiles! CoralAmber 9 years Did they remind the model not to smile so she would have the essence of Victoria? Glittersniffer 9 years Pointy boobs is NOT a good thing unless you're Madonna, in Gaultier. The white dress is alright, but it is just a carbon copy of other things she's worn by other designers. Then again I don't think she's going for new and unique, she's going for "banking off the name". soapbox 9 years I noticed that too jlynn, they don't look to functional when it comes to walking. Maybe there's a huge split in the back, but that'll ruin the look Anyway, I'm not to crazy about the blue one. Well honestly, I think the blue one is just flat out ugly. I don't mind the sequins, but the bust just looks so unflattering, even on the model! The white one is nice, but, I've already seen her wear similar many times before. jlynn818 9 years I do like the dress on the right. But can you move in them? I had a hard time walking around campus in my just-above-the-knee pencil skirt today haha Jessiebanana 9 years I actually really like them and I agree with her about seam detail. Seam details flatter all body types. Its a woman's tailoring. Her dresses look a lot better than some of the cheap looking crap designers come out with these days. *Hehe not that I can afford her or any other designer dress on my college student budget. Salientt 9 years Holy crap! It actually looks nice! I would wear her pieces if I had the money. RosaDilia 9 years Outrageous prices. Nothing special about the style. duchess208 9 years Those dresses are a bit overpriced. Wholesale for $600 to $1400 so we are talking retail at $1200 - $2800. Would anyone seriously buy a Posh Spice dress at that price point? If I was shopping for a dress in that price point she would not be at the top of the list. I would be surprised if retailers purchased any in this economy.
