Back of Welcome the Cast of Project Runway, Season 5 We're taught not to judge a book by its cover, but when you're an unknown fashion designer, all you have is your cover and a mini bio. As we prepare to welcome the new hopefuls of Project Runway into our homes this Wednesday, the three I'm drawn to right off the bat are Emily (left), who worked with Jeremy Scott; Wesley (center), the sharpest dresser from the guys; and Leanne (right), who graduated from FIDM in San Francisco. If you wish, you can read more in depth about all the contestants. We have yet to see who does the most innovative work, but it's safe to assume that those who look fashion-forward will most probably prove that in their work. I hope, like last season, my predictions are somewhat right. And who knows, since many of the males are not so dashing, maybe we'll have a female winner! Her stuff on etsy is breathtakingly beautiful! anntorr 9 years Every year after the first challenge I pick my top three, and I have been pretty darn close all four years, and in season 2 I picked Chloe for the win after the first challenge. I can't wait, I am always so excited for PR. :) sumbum 9 years My early vote is for Emily...she's from my hometown (Sacramento)...hopefully she will not disappoint! =) jasmint 9 years Usually I'll spot a just a couple contestants before the show begins based on their looks (and sometimes the designers they list as their favorites) that I think I'll be rooting for.. Unlike most people, I think this batch looks great, and I've found more than a few designers I'm interested in watching. I'M SO EXCITED!!! rabidmoon 9 years Well I know which one wins the prize for "First Impressions: Douche" and that is the dude that calls himself Suede. -.- gitsie123 9 years They look boring MandeeLei 9 years Yeah I don't pick a favorite until someone really stands out to me on a regular basis. Usually that happens for me around the halfway through mark. I am super excited though!! When does it premier? RosaDilia 9 years It's too early to predict. Sometimes these first impressions tend to dissapoint as the show goes along. I like to select my favorite halfway through the show.
