Ahead of the Met Gala, Here's What You Need to Know About Comme des Garcons

Eccentric, wild, intense — these are just some of the words associated with Rei Kawakubo's fashion label Comme des Garcons. The Japanese designer is known for her avant-garde creations, which will be the focus of this year's Met Gala theme [1] (it's in a few days). If you're not familiar with Comme des Garcons, the name is French for "like boys," and is based in Tokyo as well as the Place Vendome in Paris.
