When something doesn't fit, I usually just accept that it wasn't meant to be. There will be more perfect items for me. Breath, and let them go!

I'd probably hunt for more in my size first, either at another location or ask if they have more outback, and then I'd go back and get them a size bigger if they even make them in that size.

I have big feet so, and of course this depends on the specific shoes, I'd buy the size down and stretch the shoes to fit. This doesn't work for pointy-toed shoes though.

I will have to pass... sadly because if the shoes are not comfortable they'll be just laying on the closet :(.

I pass if they don't have the shoes in my size. I wear a size 11 and this happens often - I won't go through the pain and I figure there is bound to be a similar shoe out there somewhere!

Yeah have them stretched. Suede is usually the easiest, leather may have to be done several times.

Size down and bring them to my cobbler to be stretched.

HA! this is the story of my life. I always fall in love with shoes and then the guy comes back and says "sorry smallest size we have is a 6." I don't even have the option of trying a smaller size, so I will usually try the 6 and if I think I can make it work with an insole, I will buy them. Thank goodness for Dr. Scholls! My sales guy in Salon shoes at Nordstrom knows to save all the size 5's for me. Especially when they have a sale. That's my best advice, befriend a sales person (AKA buy lots and lots from him)and they will always keep a lookout for your size.

Please don't risk the blisters!!! I got a huge blister from a pair of strappy sandals I bought half a size too small, and I had already worn them a couple times with no problems. The blister ended up get infected, even though I had cleaned and covered it properly, and I had to go on antibiotics. Now I have a nasty scar on my toe.

i voted going a size up, but usually i first check to see if the store can order my size from another store. i guess depending on the material of the shoe and the brand, i might go down a size, especially if the brand/material has a history of stretching.

Being half size I pretty much always have this problem -_- Either buy size down, wear thick hiking socks and wear around house or take it to a cobbler to professionally stretch it. If non-stretchy, buy size up, wear clear insoles. Otherwise, just don't buy : (

I can never sacrifice comfort (especially for my feet because I dance). If my size isn't available, I usually ask the store if they can order it in my size. If they can't, I ask for the style number and I hunt it down myself.

I would rather them a little too tight than too big. I HATE shoes that are too big on me!

nope, wouldn't do anything. they may be perfect but not worth all the trouble that i'd go through to actually wear them. then, they'd be SO perfect...sitting on the floor. not on my feet.

you order your size and have them shipped to your house! no use getting shoes that don't fit.

if they are flats I will go up a size ( If I really want them). If they are heels....I stick to my own size.

Dr. Scholls makes these clear shoe inserts. They stick very well to your shoes. They have some so your feet wont' slip down, some to make it bigger all around and some for the back of the feet. They are a life-saver! I have a pair of shoes with all of these in it just so they will fit!

I would forget the shoes...because there are always more than one pair on my "I want" list. I just move onto the next.

If I loved some shoes too much,I would go a size up. I always do that, because I´ve got so small feet. Everything is big for me.
