Cotton because you can layer it all year around and I live in Washington and it's sooOO00ooOOO cold here still even though it's almost July..... Second favorite is silk I wear all year around.

According to the definition of Generation Y, my husband and I are in two different generations even though we are only 3 years apart. I was born in 1980, so I'm Generation X while he was born in 1983, so he is Generation Y. Very strange... Cotton, by the way.

My skin is very sensitive so I tend to stick to cotton garments or cotton/polyester blends.

Summer in Charleston, Sc get unbearably hot and muggy. Cotton is the best fabric so your skin can breathe and it won't stick to you as much

Cotton all year long! It's the only one that feels good on the skin for me! The first layer is always cotton! From underwear to tops, t-shirts, bottoms (jeans), cardigans, socks, sleepwear,... When it's not cotton, I make sure it's natural fibers like silk, linen or good quality wool! It's even easy to take care of! I love cotton!

I chose cotton but this really is a seasonal thing for me. I like cotton tops and denim (cotton) in the summer, but as I have lived in chillier climates for years now, winters "are serious business" and so I have good wool and cashmere sweaters and coats, some in classic colours, and some in funkier ones, that are wardrobe staples. (I have 2 cashmere blend coats I got from Boden a few years is hot pink, the other is chocolate brown. Each was the equivalent of 50 bucks!!! They are still one of my favourite finds..the brown is understated, the pink is fun and fab with a black outfit. Silk is lovely too but I have only a few pieces of it..a little lingerie, a dress, a couple of skirts. I am too tomboy these days I guess. :D I guess in general I like natural fabrics!

I love cotton and think it is undervalued. I wear a lot of cotton year round. I have some great cotton sweaters for the cold and really pretty cotton dresses for the warmth.

I would assume everyone wears cotton most often for the obvious reasons, but I picked SILK because that is the fabric I wear 2nd most often and I didnt want this to be a boring post :P

Cotton is definitely my favourite material, in winter I layer it with thin cashmere cardigans and jumpers, and wool/cashmere minis. I started checking the materials of a garment before I bought it quite a while back, as I wanted to make sure I didn't get any cheap/sweaty/itchy blends. I like my wardrobe so much more now that I have sorted it out and I only go for pieces that I absolutely love (no more quick high street fixes when I'm stressed) and also that are made with great materials.

Cotton and linen in the summer. Wool and mix blends of polyester and wool and/or gabardine in the winter. Spring and Autumn is a mix of cotton and mix blends.
