$1200+ on my GUCCI Horsebit Hasler. No regrets on that one. Hoping to add the classic Chanel 2.55 flap handbag to the list soon.

Back in early '04 when the worn out, ripped & faded paint detailed jeans were instyle, I bought a pair from GUESS for $115. I've been tight on cash for awhile now so I haven't splurged that much; I've gotten a few bargains: Nicole Miller pink short-sleeve cardigan was $125 and I bought it for $30; Nine West lavender pointed flats were $85 and I paid $30. I have recieved some pricey gifts: Marc Jacobs Jacket $360, Marc Jacobs Sweater $200, a collection of 4 Dooney & Bourke Handbag est. at $145 a piece. I also won a Alexis Bittar silk-wrapped chain necklace est.$200 from a People magazine giveway.

Even though I am only 30, I have a soft spot for St. John couture. I always get it on sale, but the prices are still sky high.

The most expensive things I ever bought were a coat for $200 and boots for $180. Spending more than $300 or so on one item seems idiotic.

Well my grandparents buy my expensive my gucci, LV, Fendi, and Prada purses. They also got me a $1,500 gucci watch too. But for my own spending, the most I've spent (that I can think of right now) is on a Betsey Johnson dress, which was only about $100 from Nordstrom Rack. Also like a pair of boots for about $100. I don't like to spend too much money on my stuff. I'm a bargain shopper.

I can't bring myself to spend more than $300 right now (my Burberry trench, camel hair coat, LV bag, Prada shoes were gifts). If I had an occasion to wear the clothes, I would let myself splurge.

P.s..... if I could find a local shop that could custom-make clothing just for me, I would pay double or triple what I pay now (would save me all the endless wasted hours trying on things).

Max for bags=$500, but it has to be something classic I'll get use out of for years to come, nothing trendy. I would spend more if I found something I thought wouldn't go out of style quickly, but I haven't. Max for shoes=$300, because shoe trends also change too frequently, and they wear out faster than a bag anyway! Max for clothes=sky's the limit, if it fits well and flatters and isn't too trendy.... I do not wait for sales either. But, reality is, few top designers make clothes to fit my proportions so I'm usually resigned to shopping in Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, JCrew... places that sell petites. I am contemplating a splurge on a camel cashmere coat... if I can find one that wouldn't require tons of $ to tailor just right. So far, I haven't!

this is how i justify my sometimes explosive (1000 + ) spending....CPW = cost per wear! it's all about the breakdown of cost per wear.....!! then it all equals out..... :-) @ least that's what i tell myself to feel better about insane spending....

I spend my money on handbags and shoes. I can't spend over a 1000+ on a single clothing items unless it's a leather jacket, coat, or special dress. Handbags I put no price on I have a total of 4 Chanel 2.55 bag's in different colors and 3 Balenciaga Bags. The most expensive pair of shoes I own I still haven't received because I'm waiting for them but there the Balenciaga Cage Spring Shoes.

A $700 Phillip Lim dress. I absolutely love it, but it's rare for me to spend that much on one thing!

I spent $1000+ on my gorgeous Balenciaga bag, and I still carry it 2 years later. I felt guilty at first (I'm Catholic, so it comes naturally lol), but now I have absolutely no regrets!

For me, my wedding dress tops it off at five grand, BUT I am eyeing a pair of Rene Caovilla shoes for $1100. Perhaps I'll purchase?

I spent $1000 on a Louie Vuitton Bag and another $900 on a Chloe Bag. Funny enough I don't carry either very much.
