Which Was the Worst of the "Out" Trends on Project Runway Last Night?

Which Was the Worst of the "Out" Trends on Project Runway Last Night?

Episode four of Project Runway brought out some fightin' words. I have to say: working with three out-of-date trends and making them look modern might ruffle my feathers a little, too. Victorya and Ricky came to blows over pretty much everything, Jillian was worried Kevin wouldn't finish his hot shorts in time, and Donna Karan made a guest appearance — lucky for Sweet P her dress looked straight off the DK runway.

I was a little confused about some of the "out" trends . . . some didn't seem so much on the outs to me. Underwear as outerwear was all over the Marc Jacobs Spring runway, neon keeps making appearances, and fringe and flares have worked their way back in, too. But more importantly, which of the trends do you want to stay dead and buried?

For a full run down of the "Trendsetter" episode, be sure to check out what Buzz has to say.

What sucked for shoulder pads was.. how on earth COULD you make it modern? It is such a dated look. and such a horrible look.

It's so hard to pick just one!! I'd say shoulder pads, the zoot suit, pleather, the baggy sweater, and fringe are all equally horrible!!

I never ever liked shoulder pads. I used to cut them out of my clothes as a kid in the 80s/early 90s. :P

Shoulder pads are the worst. My daughter has to dress outdated and tacky for a party, so we got the old clothes (saved for costumes!) and everything was so unflattering with the gigantic shoulders. Did we really believe that would make our waists look smaller?

I said Overalls because I've always hated them, but not that I think about it I would never wear shoulder pads.

Zoot suits have a high-waist and a wide-leg. The bottoms have tight-cuffed pegged trousers and a long coat with wide lapels.

I have no idea what a zoot suit is, so i voted shoulder pads, can you imagine if this look came back, too funny!!

I thought the gown under the jacket with the shoulder pads was lovely on its own. The cropped jacket is in but perhaps if the shoulder pads were not so exaggerated it wouldn't have been so bad for that team.

Underwear as outerwear is very instyle now. I even own some sequin hot pants that look exactly like a sequin panty. I wear them with Black opaque tights and boots. I also wear a matallic highwaist I got from Topshop that is identical to the one Sienna Miller wore recently.
