When you're Beyoncé's child, a sense of style [1] is basically in your blood. Getting access to a personal stylist is apparently a given, too, because 6-year-old Blue Ivy Carter already has one! Fashion stylist Manuel Mendez [2] is reportedly Blue Ivy's personal stylist [3] and personal shopper, according to Women's Wear Daily. He has worked as a personal assistant to Beyoncé and currently works at Parkwood Entertainment, the management company Beyoncé founded in 2010.
Clearly Mendez has had a relationship with the Carters for years, so it's no wonder he considers it a pleasure to style Blue — who wouldn't? The fashion expert put together a custom look for Blue Ivy when she attended the second annual Wearable Art Gala [4] with her family — a truly unforgettable gold dress. Mendez is also credited with styling Blue in her custom Valerie Kovalska at the Grammys this year [5] and her white and gold dress in Jay Z's "Family Feud" music video [6].
It's only a matter of time before little Blue has a list of memorable looks just as lengthy as Beyoncé's [8]. No word on when and if Mendez will start styling Bey and Jay's twins [9]!
