One Editor, One $500 Budget — See How She Spends It!

View in slideshow

Ever wonder how a fashion editor shops? It's essentially our job to shop — to find the most gorgeous things, assess the trends, and put together outfits for your viewing pleasure. That said, it's hard not to shop for ourselves when we're constantly tempted. Now we're showing you exactly how we'd spend our money with our budget shopping challenge — each editor gets a $500 Winter fashion budget and is able to spend it however she wants. Next up is our FabSugarTV associate producer, Liza Kaplan. See how she spends her $500 now.

When it comes to my closet, I pretty much have the basics covered: racks of super-soft tees, enough J Brands to fit a small but well-dressed denim army, and black skinny pants of every finish imaginable. So when it's time to shop, I like to spend those blissful stolen hours scooping up all the eye-catching, of-the-moment accouterments I can get my hands on. To continually breathe new life into my existing wardrobe, I opt for detailed blazers, delightfully bright or printed footwear, and a heavy artillery of statement accessories. For going out, I'll throw an LBD in the mix and add a pop of color or texture with my accessories. Ready to see how I spent my $500? Click through to see and shop my picks!
