Ashley Graham went out for date night with husband Justin Ervin on Dec. 8 in nothing but a set of black underwear layered beneath a completely sheer maxi dress. On Thursday, the couple attended the Time Person of the Year Reception in New York City in coordinated black ensembles. Graham opted for a mesh hooded dress from the brand Interior's fall/winter 2022 evening-wear collection, while Ervin looked dashing in a turtleneck layered under a single-breasted velvet blazer and black slacks.
"Uh-huh-honey🖤celebrating @time PERSON OF THE YEAR!!!" Graham captioned photos of her ensemble on Instagram [1]. The model styled her look with jewelry by De Beers and Roger Vivier, including a set of diamond earrings and a drop necklace.
Hooded gowns have taken over the spotlight on the red carpet recently, with celebrities like Janelle Monáe [2], Bella Hadid, Lori Harvey [3], and more rocking the dramatic silhouette in a number of patterns and styles. Graham's sheer look was woven out of black fabric and embellished with flecks of silver sequins and glitter, creating the illusion of a starry night that blanketed her head. The fabric draped down to form a sweeping train that pooled around her peep-toe heeled sandals. Beneath her hood, Graham peeked up at the camera with smoky eyeshadow by makeup artist Kale Teter [4] and face-framing hair [5] tendrils by hairstylists Anthony Perez [6] and Jessica Willis [7].
Earlier this week, Graham stunned at the British Fashion Awards afterparty in a naked illusion dress [8] from Syndical Chamber. She paired the seemingly painted-on gown with silver heeled sandals, a white faux-fur coat, hoop earrings, and a glittering metallic clutch.
