Over the past few weeks I've tried to stay busy and productive. I've filled free time with small projects like organizing my closet [1], reading new books [2], and even baking [3]! I've noticed that the things that bring me the most joy are quite simple, and the way I dress is no exception.
I've come to appreciate the necessity for great basics that focus on fit, style, and wearability over trend. I'm wearing a fraction of my wardrobe right now, rotating a select few sweatshirts [4], oversize button-downs, easy straight-leg denim [5], cardigans, ribbed tanks, and white T-shirts. Editing down your wardrobe is actually very freeing because you feel confident in the pieces you own and love. This month has been a lesson in conscious consumption. I want fewer pieces and better quality, and I'm quickly realizing that basics are anything but boring.
