This week, celebrities showed us how to dress up for the holidays and New Year's Eve. It was a memorable seven days full of glitz, glitter, and glam. When it comes to glitz, Kim Kardashian [1] and Beyoncé showed us what to wear to your friend's birthday party (if your friend happens to be Diddy [2]!). Bey chose a jaw-dropping outfit for the party: a strapless velvet gown [3] featuring sparkling crystal detailing, reminiscent of a Thierry Mugler ensemble she wore during her I Am... World Tour from 2009 to 2010. Kim also opted for an eye-catching design and slipped into an archival bridal dress from Vivienne Westwood [4]. Because, why wouldn't you wear a wedding dress to a party?
As for the glitter, leave it to Dua Lipa to one-up herself in yet another Versace dress. After wearing a hot pink Versace dress to the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards [5], she went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon [6] wearing a similar iteration of the dress, this time in orange. Daisy Ridley and Taylor Swift [7] showed us how to wear one of the holiday season's biggest colors: red. Both stars opted for glamorous Oscar de la Renta gowns [8] on the red carpet that came in the gorgeous color.
