Chandler Kinney's Cutout Birthday Dress Is a Far Cry From Her "PLL" Wardrobe

Chandler Kinney may wear vintage tees and neutral colors while portraying Tabby Haworthe on "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin," but the actress's personal style is much different. Case in point: while celebrating her 22nd birthday on Aug. 3, the rising star posed on a rooftop wearing a silky cutout dress in a bold emerald-green hue.

Hailing from luxury womenswear brand The Sei (the same label Issa Rae wore to her recent "Rap Sh!t" premiere in Los Angeles) Kinney's dress featured an asymmetrical neckline, thin straps, side cutouts, and an open back complete with a single tie closure. It has all the makings of the perfect wedding-guest dress for summer.

With input from stylist Monty Jackson, Kinney finished her party dress with peach-colored sculptural heels by Charles & Keith, plus a stack of metallic rings. Jackson, who's also worked with up-and-comers like "Outer Banks" actor Rudy Pankow and "Euphoria" star Maude Apatow, previously styled Kinney in a blush-pink embellished Versace skirt set for the premiere of her Disney+ movie "Zombies 3." Surely, this is just the beginning of a style takeover for Kinney as her star power continues to rise.

Kinney isn't the only celebrity who's worn a cutout dress while celebrating their birthday this year. Jennifer Lopez, Priyanka Chopra, and Millie Bobby Brown also showcased their own takes on the trend, confirming it's a detail that's sticking around for the season.
