Chlöe is the latest celebrity to embrace the "emo girl" trend [1]. Taking a page out of Willow and Machine Gun Kelly [2]'s style book, the "Treat Me [3]" singer wore a black designer dress while attending Burberry and Riccardo Tisci's Lola bag event [4] in Los Angeles on April 20. "i fell in love with an emo girl," Chlöe captioned photos of the Burberry look on Instagram [5], which Halle Bailey, Teyana Taylor, Yara Shahidi [6], and more commented on with multiple heart-eye emoji.

The midi dress featured a crew neckline, a fitted skirt with ruched detailing along the sides, and ruffled bell sleeves that hit just above Chlöe's wrists for subtle drama. Taking a sporty approach to the emo trend, Chlöe styled the look with a black baseball cap embroidered with the Burberry monogram, pointed black pumps, silver rings, and Burberry Gold Monogram Motif Hoop Earrings [7] ($490). She also wore a pair of mesh evening gloves that were just translucent enough to let her sky-blue manicure shine through.

For Chlöe, who usually opts for formfitting ensembles [8] with sparkling accents [9] and sky-high slits [10], the relaxed LBD-and-baseball-cap combo is a surprising departure. But as with the high notes in her "You & Me" video [11] with Gunna, she absolutely nailed it. Her makeup artist, David Velasquez [12], completed the ensemble with ombré eyebrows, bold mascara, and rich black lipstick that evoked major early 2000s emo [13] vibes.

During the stylish event, Chlöe hung out with Willow and South Korean rapper CL, snapping a few selfies before mingling with other attendees. Additional guests included Lori Harvey [14], The Weeknd, Madonna [15], Anitta, Sarah Paulson, Tinashe, Natalia Bryant, Erykah Badu, and more.
