Dua Lipa, who has recently shown an affinity for collecting butterfly statement wear [1], works with her stylist Lorenzo Posocco [2] to secure only the grooviest of pieces. The "Cold Heart" singer [3] was spotted out in London rocking a sugar-pink outfit from Blumarine's spring 2022 Primavera Estate [4] collection, which included plenty of Y2K trends [5], including the aforementioned butterfly. (In fact, Dua also owns one of the denim sets [6] that debuted alongside this outfit on the catwalk.)
But when we saw her dazzling in this breezy chiffon crop top and skirt — with the perfect glitter pedicure [7] to play up her rhinestone-encrusted butterfly shoes with the wraparound ankle strap — we immediately pictured one of those rip-out Britney Spears posters [8] from a 2002 teen magazine. Spears wore a similarly wispy butterfly-embroidered dress to Cannes in the early 2000s (below), and suddenly we can't unsee the resemblance here.
Dua finished her own outfit with a swipe of purple eyeshadow, silver rings, and a chainlink shoulder bag, also straight from Blumarine creative director Nicola Brognano [9]'s latest offering.
