Emma Stone [1]'s appearance at the Cruella [2] premiere was one big homage to the wickedly chic villain. For the Los Angeles red carpet event on May 18, the actress, who welcomed her first child [3] earlier this year in March, wore a Louis Vuitton outfit in Cruella de Vil's signature colors of black, white, and red.
Styled by Petra Flannery, the look consisted of a black suit with chain-link details, a white pussy-bow blouse, black pointed-toe pumps, a bright red box clutch, dangly earrings, and a dagger brooch made of over 150 diamonds, including a yellow pear diamond. Whereas viewers are used to seeing the character in a black dress and big (Dalmatian) fur coat, Emma's outfit is a more modern take, much like the prequel movie, which shows Cruella as an aspiring fashion designer [4] not yet jaded.
